Who We Are
Peak Prep is an independent test-prep tutoring practice founded in 2025 by Charlie Kasov, a tutor with over 20 years of experience. Our small, curated team provides one-on-one SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE coaching plus academic tutoring, delivered remotely to students across the United States.
Tutors Sharing Wisdom
We're not a large, impersonal company where tutors just teach from a prep textbook. Nor are we a solo practice with one voice, one method, one “right” answer.
Instead, our tutors meet regularly to teach each other. To look at a hard problem and argue about the best way to solve it. Which strategy works for which types of student? Which approach transfers to the next problem type? Which method holds up under pressure on test day? There's rarely one right answer, and that debate is the point. Think of it as the world's nerdiest water cooler conversation.
The result: when your tutor walks into a session, they're not just bringing their own instincts. They're bringing the accumulated wisdom of a team with decades of experience.
We Practice What We Teach
Our tutors regularly take the tests they teach. Every few months, we sit for full practice exams to stay sharp and connected to what students experience.
This isn't just professional development—it's how we maintain empathy for the pressure, fatigue, and other challenges our students face. We teach from the trenches, not from memory.
Adaptability Over Formula
Everyone knows no two students are the same. But here's what matters more: no two paths through school are the same. Life happens. Plans shift. A student who's been coasting can hit their stride. One who's been excelling can hit turbulence. If the initial approach or tutor match isn't working, we adjust.
We don't rely on rigid formulas because real progress requires meeting students where they are, not where we wish they were. Whatever hand they've been dealt, we help them play it well.
